All institutions of higher learning in South Carolina are required to verify a student's lawful status in compliance with the SC Illegal Immigration Reform Act (Section 59-101- 430 of the SC Code of Laws). All students must provide proof of citizenship or lawful presence in the United States to attend any public institution of higher education in South Carolina. You can complete this online Verification of Lawful Presence Form. If we do not receive verification of your lawful presence along with required documentation within two business days of the class start date, your registration will be canceled, and a refund will be issued.
